JEFFERSON – Virginia Marion Pritchett Gasaway, 63, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Cobb County, she was the daughter of Virginia Margaret Poole Pruitt of Homer and the late J.W. Pruitt. She was the preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Pritchett; and a brother, Jerry Pruitt.
Survivors in addition to her mother include a daughter, Lisa Pritchett, Jefferson; sons, Lamar (Melanie) Pritchett, Royston, and Wesley (Angie) Pritchett, Maysville; brother, James Pruitt, Homer; sisters, Carolyn (Eugene) Eckstein, Dry Pond, Chris (Harry) Dietrich and Mildred Pruitt, all of Homer; sister-in-law, Louise Pruitt, Commerce; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 26, from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Barry Bray and Jay Hill officiating. Burial was in the Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
