Marie Sparks

COMER – Marie A. Sparks, 71, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.

A native of Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Violet Basile Tatone. She was a member of Colliers Baptist Church, the Madison County Senior Center and Madison County Scarlett O’Hatters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Sherrie Willes; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne W. and Bobby Hunt; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and David Womack; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Gail Tatone; grandchildren, Samantha Willes, Joel Chandler Hunt and Violet AnnMarie Hunt; uncle, Maury (Helen) Basile; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, at 12 noon from the Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 12 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association of Comer Nursing Home.
