Marion U. Wood, 80, of Winder, died Thursday, May 15, 2008.
Born in Daytona Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Pete and Pearl Dunahoo Usry. She was a member of Rockwell Universalist Church and was a retired fiscal budget analyst with the Centers for Disease Control. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Wood Sr.
Survivors include children, Karen Huff, Blue Ridge, Carol Eidson, Arnoldsville, and Alton Wood Jr., Winder; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m., at Barrow Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
