HULL – Donald Edwin “Don” Kesler, 72, went to be with his Lord Monday, July 19, 2010.
A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Lurlene Griffeth Kesler. He retired as a sales person from General Electric Corporation. His hobby after retirement was operating the Neece Mall where he sold produce and boiled peanuts. Mr. Kesler served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gay Edwards Kesler, Hull; children, Eddie Kesler and his wife, Rina, Atlanta, Julie Holloway and her husband, Chris, Roswell, and Jennifer Kesler, Decatur; stepchildren, Kim Jeffers and her husband, Bruce, Winterville, Martin Kimsey and his wife, Angie, Danielsville, and Kandace Faulkner and her husband, Nile, Hull; brothers, Austin Kesler, Athens, and Wendell Kesler, Columbus; sisters, Deannie Cunningham, Athens, Janelle Vickery, Winder, and Jane Bramlett, Commerce; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, at 2 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Prince Avenue Baptist Church, 2201 Ruth Jackson Rd., Bogart, GA 30622.
Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
