PENDERGRASS – Dorothy Mae Turner, 73, died Monday, July 19, 2010.
Born on February 10, 1937, in Clover, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cora Lee Dodd Turner. She was an underwriter with the Hartford Life Insurance Company and worked for Levitz and Roberds Furniture Company. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas H. and Bonnie Poole, Whitleyville, Tenn., Frank D. and Robin Poole, Auburn, Robert K. Poole, Pendergrass, and Roy W. and Debbie Poole, Virginia; sisters, Betty J. Jackson, Pendergrass, Margaret Jackson, Jefferson; granddaughters, Katie Poole, Guila Poole, Nicole and David Poole, Kimberly and James Harper; grandsons, Thomas Poole Jr., Roy Poole Jr., Kenneth Pool, William Poole, Joshua Poole; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Park. The visitation will be held Tuesday, July 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
