George Holden

DANIELSVILLE – George A. Holden Jr., 80, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston.

Born on January 23, 1930, in Flint, Mich., he was the son of the late George A. Holden Sr. and Margaret Moore Holden. He was a United States Navy Retired and was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church. Mr. Holden was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Crowe Drake Holden.

Survivors include a grandson and spouse, Mark and Alice Holden, New Jersey; great-granddaughters, Angelina and Samantha Holden, both of New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Marylne Amrani, New Jersey; stepson and spouse, Jerry and Carla Drake, Royston; stepdaughter and spouse, Beverly and Greg Dudley, Danielsville; and three step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 14, at 5 p.m., from the Danielsville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Peck officiating.

Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
