CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – Dustin “Dusty” Joseph Davis, 35, formerly of Georgia, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
He was the son of Donnie Davis and stepmother, Kathy of Jacksonville, Fla., and mother, Virginia Ila Davis.
He loved to fish, joke and cut up. He loved basketball, football and was a big Georgia Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed tinkering with his car, being outdoors, cooking and dreaming up and experimenting with dishes. Dustin would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and would talk to anyone. He trusted easily and had an extremely close relationship with his family. He will be remembered for his huge heart and his love for his family and friends.
Survivors other than his parents, include a sister, Abigail Lynn Davis; niece, Sabrina Lynn Davis, all of Commerce; nephew, Dakota Joseph Garrett, Cleveland; girlfriend, Mikie Francis; best friend, Mark Jackson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, from the chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with the Revs. Daryl Wells and David Poston officiating. Burial was in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, was in charge of arrangements.
