HOSCHTON - William ‘Bret’ Ward, 45, died Thursday, July 1, 2010.
Born in Decatur, he was the son of William A. and Charlotte Ward, Monticello. A member of Oak Grove Independent Baptist Church, he was an avid outdoorsman and a loving father. He was a foreman at Utility Line Construction.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Lisa Ward, Hoschton; sons, Justin Cody Ward, Christian Caleb Ward, and Joshua Seth Ward, all of Hoschton; daughter, Amber Chatrice Ward, Jordan, Minn.; grandson, Tristan A. Ward; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff B. and Tammie Ward, Lawrenceville; sister, Molly Renee Ward, Lawrenceville; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Clint Hancock, Sandersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 5, from Oak Grove Independent Baptist Church, with the Revs. Robbie Black and Brandon Black officiating. Entombment was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
