WINDER - Stephanie Michelle Wilson, 19, died Thursday, July 1, 2010.
Born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of father and stepmother, William and Suzanne Wilson, Winder, and mother, Deidre Wilson, Macon. She attended Kennedy Elementary School and the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon. Stephanie was a 15-year cancer survivor and was active in Relay. She was a member of the Girl Scouts Auburn Troop and loved to make bead bracelets and necklaces.
Survivors in addition to her parents include grandparents, Maxine Wall, Statham, Grace Riefler, San Antonio, Texas, Richard and Patricia Wilson, St. Cloud, Minn., Clyde and Mariam Snider, Lehigh Acres, Fla. and step grandfather, George Riefler, Streetsboro, Ohio; brothers, Michael and Stacey Wilson, Winder, Joshua and Erica Gatewood, Fort Bragg, N.C., and Andrew Wilson, Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; stepbrother, Jim Kelley, Winder; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, from Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 5, at the funeral home.
