HOSCHTON – Kathy Marder, 22, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Born on July 29, 1987, in Decatur, she was the daughter of William W. and Terri L. Marder of Hoschton and was a 2006 graduate of Loganville High School in Loganville. Miss Marder was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Winder and was a former member of St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church in Snellville, where she was a member of the Life Team Youth Ministry.
Survivors in addition to her parents include a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher W. and Lauren Marder, Buford; special nephew, Landon S. Marder, Buford; grandparents, John E. and Irene Marder, Lawrenceville, and Charles and Lois Holston, Gainesville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 2, at 10 a.m., from the St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, 3200 Brooks Dr., Snellville, GA 30078, with Father Neil Jones and Father Jim Henault serving as Celebrant. Private family interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Cure Childhood Cancer in memory of Kathy Marder.
