BELTON, S.C. – Julia Beatrice Brewer Broome, 84, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Gillsville on May 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late W. Otis and Margie Patton Brewer. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Belton, S.C. Mrs. Broome was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Broome; brothers, Ralph, Jack and Aubrey Brewer; and a sister, Mozelle Bellamy.
Survivors include daughters, Regenia Ashley and husband, Roger, and Janetta Escoe, all of Belton, S.C.; sister, Marcus Parks, Athens; grandchildren, Brian Ashley, Kristi Marett, Brandon Ashley, Bradley Escoe and Amanda Lollis; great-grandchildren, Walker Ashley, Oliver Marett, Cameron Ashley and Olivia Marett.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, at 3 p.m., from the chapel of Cox Funeral Home with Roger Branch and the Rev. Daryle Hawthorne officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 1, prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.

The family will be at the residence.
