COMMERCE – Jimmy Edward Freeman, 74, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Oconee County, S.C., he was the son of the late Lucille Day Gary and Ramsey Freeman. Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by a son, Terry Freeman.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Norton Freeman, Commerce; children, Michael and Susan Freeman, Homer, Tina Freeman and Keith and Tonya Freeman, all of Commerce; brother, Randall and Susan Freeman, Jacksonville, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
