JEFFERSON - Lola Mae Simmons, 91, died Thursday, June 24, 2010.
A daughter of the late John and Sudie Harrison Austin, she was the widow of Clyde Simmons. Mrs. Simmons had resided in Jackson County for most of her life and was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, William A. Simmons, Joe B. Simmons, Randyl N. Simmons, Mike L. Simmons and Mark S. Simmons, all of Jefferson; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Dean Harrison, Loganville and Johnnie Sue Bryant, Alabama.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 26, from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Page officiating. Burial was in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
