Mabeth Sims

JEFFERSON – Mabeth Sims, 70, died Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Born on October 12, 1939, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Addie McCluskie Sims. She was a housekeeper and a member of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Jefferson, where she served as a dedicated usher since her childhood.

Survivors include sisters, Sara and Willie Gunn, Macon, Mattie and Bobby Watson and Jane Sims, both of Jefferson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, at 1 p.m., from the St. Paul’s Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, starting at 10 a.m. in the church until the hour of the funeral. The repast will be held after the services at St. Paul’s Baptist Church.
