Blanche Langston McIntyre, 96, of Gainesville, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lanier Park Campus, following an extended illness.
She was born in Ducktown, Tenn., the daughter of the late O.U. and Adron Browers Langston. She was a member of the Gainesville C.H. Church for approximately 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel A. McIntyre; eight brothers; and six sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, J. Lamar “Bud” and Frances McIntyre, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Oliver Hardegree, Carrollton; grandchildren and spouses, Terri and John Thome, Clermont, Ken and Lisa McIntyre, Tiffany and Scott Gaines, all of Gainesville, Vance and Lisa Hardegree, Craig and Laura Hardegree, all of Douglasville, Sherri and Dr. Jeff Burrell, Atlanta; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Chester, Gainesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 17, at the Gainesville Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Vance Hardegree and Dr. Jeff Burrell officiating.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
