HOSCHTON – Colonel Joseph Clifford Seanor Jr., United States Air Force (Ret.), 84, died Friday, June 18, 2010.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., he had lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 14 years. He served 30 years active duty with the United States Air Force during World War II, Korea and Vietnam, assigned to the Pentagon and also as Vice Commander of the 459 Tactical Airlift Wing, Reserve Unit at Andrews Air Force Base. Mr. Seanor also worked for AT&T and then the GSA helping to develop the FTS 2000 system for the US Government. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #447 F&AM in Atlanta and a member of St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Buford. Mr. Seanor was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Seanor.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Larry Bell, Braselton, Jane and Jimmy Pulliam, Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Gail Seanor, Hoschton; grandchildren, Daks Hamner, Kyle Pulliam, Tommy Pulliam, Jessica Pulliam, Christian Seanor, Shane Seanor, Samantha Seanor; and a brother, Jack Seanor, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church in Buford with Father Tim Watts officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens in Buford with full military honors. The family will receive friends Friday, June 25, at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to St. Mary and St. Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, Building Fund, 3805 Braselton Hwy., Buford, GA 30519.
Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.
