TOCCOA – Mary Jean Yarbrough Sullens, 78, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, in the Embracing Hospicecare in Snellville.
Born in Commerce on November 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Euel Addison and Clara Cantrell Yarbrough. Having lived most of her life in Stephens County, she was retired from the Stephens County School System and was a member of the Toccoa Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Sullens was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 2003, Henry Paul Sullens; sisters, Blanche Williams and Boyce Martin; brothers, Donald Yarbrough, Jack Yarbrough and Olin Yarbrough.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Sullens, Toccoa; sisters, Agnes Barfield, Smyrna, and Ruth Davis, Griffin; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Helen Yarbrough, Monroe; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, at 2 p.m., at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Wright officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Wilson Methodist Church Cemetery in Maysville.
