WINDER - Nicholas Benjamin Schafer, 26, died Sunday, June 13, 2010.
Born in Indianapolis, Ind., he was the son of Marilyn Schafer and Andrew and Paulina Schafer, all of Winder. He was a member of St. Mathews Catholic Church and had attended Winder-Barrow High School.
Survivors in addition to his parents are his paternal grandmother, Dorine Schafer, Bonfield, Ill., and maternal grandparents, George and Mary Darland, Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, Zachary Schafer; stepbrother and sister, Daniel and Natalie Halligan, all of Winder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, from St. Mathews Catholic Church, with Father Jaime Barona officiating. Entombment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 16, from 6 until 9 p.m.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
