COMMERCE – Rossie Elizabeth Nelms, 75, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Eula Moon Nelms. She was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Nelms and Sammy Wilson.
Survivors include sisters, Ramona Sanford, Dallas, Linda Lassiter, Gainesville, Betty Hanley, Hull, and Sarah Raulerson, Augusta; brother, Dwight Nelms, Nicholson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 16, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Ministers Ernest Burnett and Paul Scoggins officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 15, from 6 to 9 p.m., and at other times at the home of Dwight Nelms located at 247 Hawks Court in Nicholson.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
