BUFORD – Rene (Crenshaw) Owens, 46, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of James Crenshaw of Canton, Tenn. and Brenda Jones of Greenville, S.C. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Crenshaw.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Tony D. Owens, Buford; sons, Hunter Martin, Coleman Martin, Hunter Owens and Seth Owens; daughters, Amanda Martin, Kristi Martin, Emma Owens and Erica Owens; stepbrother, Randy Waldrop; and stepsister, Elaine Phillips.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Hall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd., Gainesville, GA 30501.
Memorial Park South Funeral Home, Flowery Branch, is in charge of arrangements.
