WINDER – Carolyne M. Esco, 79, died Friday, June 11, 2010.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late James Roy McElhannon and Otis and Leila Belle Stewart. She was a homemaker and a former owner of The Boutique in Winder. She was a member of the Winder First Christian Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was a lifelong resident of Winder and was a 1949 graduate of Winder Barrow High School. Mrs. Esco was preceded in death by husbands, William T. “Bill” Esco Sr. and her second husband Ralph T. Lee.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tammy Esco, Auburn; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne Esco and Russell Varnum, Winder, Donna Esco and Randy Thompson, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Michelle Esco Gordon, Kyle Thompson, Lance Thompson, Kaye Cox, Tanya White and Jerome Skinner; 16 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James Roy and Dodie MacElhannon; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, at 4 p.m., at the Winder First Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 12, from 6 to 9 p.m.
