Kathryn “Kitty” Liberty Sauls, 33, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, following a sudden illness.
She was the daughter of Donald Wynn Sauls of Commerce and Laureen Lessard of Springfield, Mo. She was a graduate of Jackson County High School and Barbazon Modeling School in Atlanta, and a former student of the University of Georgia. Her hobbies included fashion, collecting antiques and writing poetry. She enjoyed volunteerism with veterans and a local Indian agency in Springfield, Mo.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, William J. Oberschmidt III, Springfield, Mo; daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. William Oberschmidt II, New Orleans, La., and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hill, Springfield, Mo.; grandparents, Felton “Toby” and Francine Williamson, Commerce; daughters with husband, Renato Melendez, Rosemary, Brianna, Josephine and Emilia Melendez, Athens; siblings, Jason and Sandy Sauls, Dahlonega, Jacob and Benita Sauls, and Shane and Lisa Sauls, all of Springfield, Mo.; along with nieces and nephews, Hali, Idalia, Jacob, Trevor and Sebastien Sauls. She was also the niece of Keith Sauls, Commerce, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zerbe, Nicholson, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rutzel II, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rutzel, Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Mora, Mrs. Wendie Charlier, Detroit, Mich., and Rodney Rutzel, Springfield, Mo.
A private burial will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Humane Society of Springfield, Mo., or Berea Baptist Church in Commerce.
