THOMASTON – James Albert Grier, 78, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at his residence.
A native of Jackson County, he had lived in Thomaston for the past six years. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a retired pipefitter for the Ford Motor Company Plant in Hapeville. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Grier; daughters, Suzette Bosveld, California, Holly Lewis, Cumming, and Julie Tucker, Florida; sons, Tony Grier, Braselton, and James A. Grier, Florida; stepchildren, Nelbea Johnson, Thomaston, and Randy Johnson, Gay; brother, Henry “Duck” Grier, Winder; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Saturday, June 12, at Trinity Baptist Church.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, Thomaston, was in charge of arrangements.
