JEFFERSON – RL Griffeth, 73, died Saturday, June 5, 2010.
Born on January 6, 1937, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Haven and Ruby Watson Griffeth. He was a farmer and was retired from Jackson EMC after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Maxie Hill Baptist Church in Jefferson.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Florene Griffeth, Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Kenya Adams and Robert Campbell; grandchildren, Josh and Will Campbell, all of Commerce; a sister, Elma Griffeth, Monroe; and nephew, Ricky Griffeth, Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, at 3 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Pattman officiating. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
