BUFORD - Harold O. Puckett, 82, died Saturday, June 5, 2010.
Born on March 19, 1928, in Buford, he was the son of the late Odus and Bessie King Puckett. Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by sisters, Elsie Mae Brown, Mildred Shoemake, Ruth Johnson and Edith Kelley. He was a graduate of Sugar Hill School in Sugar Hill and was a retired designer from Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of America after 40 years of service. He was also a carpenter for Donald Beard Construction Company. He was a member and deacon of New Bethany Baptist Church in Buford, where he was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Sue Martin Puckett, Buford; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and R. Garry Glenn, Oakwood; grandsons, Morgan Glenn, Buford, and Mason Glenn, Los Angeles, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Runell and Ben Youngblood, Buford; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Virginia Puckett, Sugar Hill; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sparky and Jean Martin, Buford; sister-in-law, Judy Puckett Martin, Buford; special niece and nephew, Nan and Donald Beard, Buford; special great-nieces and great-nephews, Danny and Kelley Beard, Cleveland, and Darlene, Roger, Nick and Jake Williams, Flowery Branch; and other nieces , nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Ashworth and Mr. R. Gary Glenn officiating. Burial will be at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 9, from 6 until 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity, church or hospice.
