Dean Wilbanks

JEFFERSON – Carrie Dean Wall Wilbanks, 81, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010.

Born on July 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Pallie Austin Wall. She was a retired clerk with the Jackson County Board of Commissioners and was a member of the First Christian Church of Jefferson. Mrs. Wilbanks was preceded in death by her husband, Willis H. “Totsy” Wilbanks; sister, Frances Sauls; and brother, Nolan Wall.

Survivors include a son, Willis H. Wilbanks Jr., Athens; grandson, Will Wilbanks, Dacula; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martha and Thomas Meade, Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Robin Self officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park in Commerce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, June 4, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Jefferson, c/o Vicki Evans, P.O. Box 988, Jefferson, GA 30549.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
