NICHOLSON – Edna Matthews, 88, died Thursday, May 27, 2010.

Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harold Matthews; daughters, Carol Sue Matthews and Carolyn Denise Matthews; and a son, Daniel Clarence Matthews.

Survivors include daughters, Donna M. Fortson, Nicholson, and Patricia Ayers, Lavonia; a son, Harold “Rusty” Milton Matthews, Sparta; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 30, at 2 p.m. from the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery in Nicholson with the Rev. Don Clark Officiating.

Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, is in charge of arrangements.
