DANIELSVILLE – Graham Lee Nash, 81, died Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Born on July 4, 1928, in Athens, he was the son of Euquid and Mabel Nash. A lifelong resident of Madison County, he graduated from Danielsville High School and served in the United States Army as an air traffic controller until retirement. He was a decorated veteran from Vietnam. Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jennie Mae Nash. He was of the Baptist denomination.
Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Maurine Hix and Zethel and Jim Cumuze, all of Danielsville; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sybil Nash, all of Danielsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Derrold and Sheryl Nash and Wesley and Cathy Nash, all of Danielsville; daughter and son-in-law, Kevin and Melanie Holdredge, Nowata, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 27, at 4 p.m., at Danielsville Memorial Gardens in Danielsville with Senior Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that contributions be made in his memory to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Pkwy., Charlotte, NC 28201-0001.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
