BALDWIN – H.V. “Buddy” Wilbanks, 71, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at his residence.
Born on April 17, 1939, in Banks County, he was the son of the late Hillard Virgil and Rumyrth Andrews Wilbanks. He was a member of Lamar Christian Church and a former member of the National Guard. He was employed with Carwood Manufacturing for 25 years and was recently employed with Ken-Bar Manufacturing with 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Williams Wilbanks, Baldwin; sons, Bobby G. Wilbanks and Joey D. Wilbanks, both of Baldwin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and William Ward, Baldwin, and Vivian and Bobby Wills, Toccoa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover and Lynn Wilbanks, Ricky and Janet Wilbanks, Michael Wilbanks, Stanley Wilbanks and Clinton Wilbanks, all of Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 26, at 2 p.m., from Lamar Christian Church with Bill Moody and David Terrell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
