JASPER & TOCCOA – L B Broward Garrison, 93, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, a 50-year Master Mason, a 50-year Lions Melvin Jones Fellow and a District 18A Hall of Fame Member of the Jasper Lions Club. He had been a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church for over 50 years. The Cochran-Garrison Building was named in his honor. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Garrison.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Garrison; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Linda Garrison, Orlando, Fla., and Mike and Donna Garrison, Jasper; grandchildren, Kristin Kelting, DeBary, Fla., and Kelly Finogle, Virginia Beach, Va.; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 17, from the Jasper United Methodist Church with the Revs. Chip Wilson and Hoyt Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Local Chapter #47 DAV in charge of military graveside services. Pallbearers were Paul, Steve, Kevin and Justin Garrison, Chad Finogle and Pete Kelting.

Cagle Funeral Home, Jasper, was in charge of arrangements.
