COLBERT – Judy Mae Johnson, 54, died Friday, May 21, 2010.
Born in Sausalito, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Burl Johnson Jr. and Willie Belle Fair Johnson. She lived most of her life in Madison County and was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include her brother, Burl “Sonny” Johnson III, Crawfordville; sisters, Diane J. Perry, Colbert, and Elaine Johnson-Shouf, Athens; lifetime friends, Susan Gravenor, Debbie Jackson and Paula Layton; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 26, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
