NICHOLSON – Oles Everett Sorrow, 83, died Friday, May 21, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Darlene Mathis Sorrow. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was the owner of Sorrow Linoleum and Tile Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Archer Sorrow, Nicholson; a son, Larry Sorrow, Nicholson; daughter, Rhonda Sorrow, Nicholson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Bobbie Archer, Bobby and Jackie Archer, Alice and the late Leroy Pearson, all of Nicholson; three grandchildren, Sonya Sikes, Jefferson, Todd Sorrow, Nicholson, Bucky Sorrow, Nicholson; six great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and his caretaker Dot Haggard.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 23, from New Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. Allen Seagraves and Gary Prater officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
