JEFFERSON – Gilda Fran Simonton, 58, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010.

A native of Gainesville, she was the daughter of Frances Louise Carter Ward and the late Gilder Ray Ward. Mrs. Simonton was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Billy Dean Simonton; children, Bronson Dorsey, Britt Ray Simonton and Tabitha Fran Pue; sister, Patricia Ann Young; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 22, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Powers officiating.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West, Bogart, is in charge of arrangements.
