John McClure

MARIETTA – John Michael McClure, 62, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Hospice Atlanta with family and friends at his bedside.

Mr. McClure was a graduate of Commerce High School, the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. He was a United States Army National Guard veteran and had retired after a very successful 33-year career with Georgia Power and the Southern Company. Mr. McClure is the son of Sara M. McClure and the late James Daniel McClure.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Patricia McClure, sons, David and John McClure; brothers, James A. McClure (Helen), Tullahoma, Tenn., and Tom McClure (Pat), Milton, Fla., as well as many friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, May 17, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA 30062. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a contribution to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Ste. 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245 or to Hospice Atlanta, a nonprofit organization located at 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA 30319.
