JEFFERSON – Rheuamie “Bootsie” McCreadie, 81, died Thursday, May 13, 2010.
Born in Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie William and Mary Moore Dotson. She lived in Monroe until 1949 then moved to Atlanta where she lived until 1974. She worked for Thompson, Boland, Lee for 22 years in Atlanta until she moved to Sorrento, Fla., where she lived until June 2006. She returned to Georgia to be closer to her family.
Mrs. McCreadie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald McCreadie; sister, Goldie Speer; and nephew, Donnie Jones.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Mary “Polly” and Gabriel Kraft, Portland, Ore.; brother and sister-in-law, James William and Joyce Dotson, Cumming; nieces, Joy McNeill, Vicki Starnes and husband Mark, Lindsey and Eden Starnes; nephews, Jimmy Dotson and wife, Kelly, and Cody and Will Dotson.
The family would like to extend a special heart-filled thanks to the staff and nurses at Bentley Assisted Living in Jefferson, who through their kindness, friendship and caring attention, made the last years of her life enjoyable and full of laughter. Bootsie loved to tease and joke with everyone and had such a sweet spirit about her.
A remembrance service will be held at Bentley Assisted Living, 50 Sumner Way, Jefferson, GA 30549 on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3:15 p.m.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
