COMMERCE – Carl Thomas Smith, 74, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born in Jackson County, the son of the late William Johnson and Mattie Lee Alexander Smith. He was a commercial electrician.
Survivors include sons, Thomas A. Smith and Richard L. Smith, both of Jefferson; daughters, Donna Patten, Cumming, and Carla Hill, Commerce; brothers, John Smith, Athens, and Kenneth Smith, Homer; and nine grandchildren.
The body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.


I just wanted to say I am very sorry for your lost. I don’t know your pain but I do know the pain of loosing someone to death that you love.
