COLBERT – Mildred Russell Mansfield, 87, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, following an extended illness.
She had previously lived in Rayle for 35 years and served her Lord as a member of County Line Baptist Church in Rayle. She was a member of Georgia Campers on Mission for 30 years. Mrs. Mansfield was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Marion E. Mansfield; daughters, Sandra Lapczynski, Colbert, and Shirley Nye, Spartanburg, S.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 1 p.m., from the Moon’s Grove Baptist Church, 1985 Moon’s Grove Church Rd., Colbert. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Washington at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
