Louise Berryman

ELBERTON – Louise Allgood Berryman, 98, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late John William and Nancy “Betty” Elizabeth Gunter Allgood. She was a member of Carlton Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Berryman was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Welthy Berryman.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Bobby McMurray, Marilyn and Charles Heard, Beth and Alan Vaughter and Joy and John Jordan; sons and daughters-in-law, Harlan and Peggy Berryman, Faine Berryman and Betty Carter and Wendall and Patti Berryman; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, at 4 p.m., at Carlton Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Duhon officiating. Burial will be in Carlton City Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 5, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Allen Berryman, Emery Berryman, Phil Berryman, Russell McMurray, Kevin Vaughter, Eric Berryman, Bryan Berryman and Ben Jordan.
