Ronald “Woody” Wood, 58, of Winder, died Thursday, May 15, 2008.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Ralph and Sarah Smith Wood, and was a framer in home construction.
Survivors include a son, Jamie Wood, Cumming; brothers, Larry Wood, Alabama, Danny Wood, Oakwood, Jerry Wood, Clarkesville, Jeff Wood, Loganville, Donald Wood, Statham, and Jackie McGee, Tennessee; sisters, Brenda Chestnut, Dillard, Shirley Rutledge and Judy McGee, both of Winder; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
