COMMERCE – Kathleen Dwyer, 83, died Thursday, April 22, 2010.
A native of Haines City, Fla., she was born on May 13, 1926, her mother’s birthday, and was the daughter of the late Gurden and Iola Rauton Flanders. She was a homemaker, the former owner of Helen’s Uniforms and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Dwyer was preceded in death by her husband, William Irwin Dwyer; a son, Patrick Harry Dwyer; and brother, Graham Flanders.
Survivors include children, William Flanders and Kathy Dwyer, Brandon, Fla., Penny Dwyer and Roger Walker, Commerce, and Debra Lee and Tom Fanatia, Denver, Colo.; brother and sister-in-law, Boney Leonard and Gloria Flanders, Charleston, S.C.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 1, at Little-Ward Chapel, Commerce, with the Rev. Ellen Cook officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, May 8, in the Glenn Abby Memorial Gardens of Auburndale, Fla.
