COLBERT – Sarah M. Turner, 68, died Monday, April 26, 2010.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Clara Smith Murray. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Turner; sister, Lottie Cole; and granddaughter, Liv Turner. She was retired from Merrill Lynch with 42 years of service and was a lifelong member of Moon’s Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Anna Turner, Hull, and Brian and Tracy Turner, Colbert; sisters, Robena Simmons, Comer, and Margaret Shelton, Hull; brother, Kenneth Murray, Helen; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 2 p.m., at Moon’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Fuller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
