COLUMBUS, OHIO – Sara Ann Gary Mitchell, 67, formerly of Nicholson, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Willie Lee Wade Gary and was a homemaker. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mitchell.
Survivors include daughters, Alicia Sears, Homer, Brenda Blanton, Columbus, Ohio, and Vicky Varner, Commerce; a brother, Alvin Gary, Commerce; sisters, Peggy Price and Pat Sellers, both of Commerce, Easter Smith, Danielsville, and Lib Little, Stephens; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association Atlanta Office, 17 Executive Park, Ste. 115, Atlanta, GA 30329-2012.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
