COMMERCE – Peter “Pete” Fisher, 76, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Evans; and a great-grandson, Jacob Bowden.
Born in California, he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Sears Fisher, Commerce; daughters, Jean Evans, Commerce, and Toni Bowden, Homer; grandchildren, Ashley Cooper, Kayla Evans, Vince Bowden, Kerry Bowden and Desiree Tate; great-grandchildren, Camden Cooper, Carson Bowden and Chyanne Bowden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home after which the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 27, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
