COMMERCE – Martha Elizabeth Childs, 74, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Jack R. and Lillian Murphy Doss. She was a member of Galilee Christian Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Childs was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Childs.
Survivors include her husband, Sammy L. Childs, Commerce; daughters, Martha L. Mejias and Mary A. Green, both of Commerce; brother, Jack R. Doss, Barnesville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m., from Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Well Spring Camp, 559 Rucker Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
