MAYSVILLE – William Douglas “Doug” Streetman, 29, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce.

Born in Clarke County, he was the son of Steve Thomas Streetman of Commerce and Myra Ward Helton of Nicholson. He was in the communication industry.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Christy Greenway Streetman, Maysville; a daughter, Joselyn Streetman, Maysville; stepmother, Carol Streetman, Commerce; grandparents, Willie Dean Streetman, Jefferson, and Betty Jack Corn, Commerce; brothers, Steve, Todd and Daniel Streetman, all of Commerce; and a sister, Katelyn Nevil, Commerce.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. John Wood and Bobby Ivester officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

My heart and prayers go out to the family of Doug Streetman. I will always remember Doug's sweet smile. We lost such a wonderful person here on earth, but look at what heaven has gained. We have hope that we will see his smiling face on the other side. May you find peace and comfort in the loving arms of Jesus until you meet again.

Christy, Today is September 25, 2010. I am not sure if you remember me, but you guys came to my house for a party once & Doug came by on many occassions before that. I just now found out about Doug. My husband, Michael just saw the cross on Antioch road & came home & told me about it. It took my breath away, I could not believe what I had heard. I immediately looked online & found this. I am so sorry for your loss. My very first thought was his gentle smile. I want you to know that I cared for him very much & although I did not see him often, I cared for him deeply. He was alway a gentleman. Should you have the chance to see this, know that you & Joseyln are in my prayers.
