Donald Allen

HOSCHTON – Donald Allen, 68, died Sunday, April 18, 2010.

A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Thedford and Varri Watkins Allen. He was retired from General Motors and was a member of Center United Methodist Church and Rockwell Lodge #191 F. & A. M. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Allen; and a sister, Frances Hutchins.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Josephine Allen, Hoschton; children, Phyllis and Larry Holland, Winder and Deborah Allen, Hoschton; grandchildren, Deanna Allen, Winder, and Christopher Allen, Hoschton; siblings, Sue Meadows, Lawrenceville, and Billy Allen and Gloria Clark, both of Hoschton; two beloved Boston Terrier bulldogs, Lucy and Scrappy.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, from the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Friday, April 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
