Ellis Annie Haley Stone, 95, of Milledgeville, formerly of Royston, died Monday, July 14, 2008.
She was born in Franklin County, on December 4, 1912, the daughter of the late James Jewell and Lila Sewell Haley. She was a retired manager, having worked with F.W. Woolwoorth’s and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Jerome “Joe” Stone; a daughter, Laura A. Stone; brother, Arthur Haley; and sister, Ellen Phillips.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 2 p.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Case Thorp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Trinity United Methodist Church. The family is at their respective homes.
