COMMERCE – Grace Sullivan Rogers, 87, formerly of Cornelia, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Born in Blairsville on June 2, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Florida Hood Sullivan. She was a graduate of Union County High School, a member of the Demorest Church of God and a homemaker. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly loved ones stated. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Guerry Rogers.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Nation, Homer; sons, Donnie Rogers, Lula, and David Rogers, Commerce; sisters, Maxine Stephens, Aiken, S.C., and Dorothy Spivey, Blairsville; brother, Hoke Sullivan, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Frances Bray, Etowa, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 16, from the Whitfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Burial was in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, was in charge of arrangements.
