HOSCHTON – Ruth Castleberry Barnish, 87, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Cora Lee Henry Castleberry. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Hoschton United Methodist Church and The Hoschton Civic Club. She was formerly a city clerk of Hoschton. Mrs. Barnish was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barnish.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Nan and Franklin Barton, Bogart, and Peggy and David Newman, Wayne, Pa.; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Beverly Barton and Alex and Kelly Newman; and a sister, Jean Gregory, Virginia Beach, Va.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 10, at Hoschton City Cemetery with the Rev. Louis Ortiz officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoschton United Methodist Church.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
