WINDER: Clement T. “Clem” Bergen, 53, died Tuesday, April 06, 2010, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Born in Atlanta, he was the son of George and Jean Conley Bergen. Clem resided in Allentown, N.J. for six years before moving back to Georgia. He graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and later worked as a sales executive for TW Telecom in Roswell. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a former Little League Coach.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife of 18 years, Nancie Kitchen Bergen; sons, Jacob and Ethan Bergen; two stepchildren, Jackie McCarthy and Christopher McCarthy and his wife Stephanie; brothers, Terry and Chris Bergen; sisters, Sally Bergen, Barbara Andercheck and Mary Dampier; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 10, at 10 a.m., from St. John’s Church, 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown. The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Rd., Athens, GA 30605.
Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, N.J., is in charge of arrangements.
